Tony is a highly respected musician, teacher, producer and more. Tony has written and released 4 instructional Dvd's that have sold over 100,000 copies worldwide and have been featured in Guitar One, Guitar Player, Guitar World, Hit Parader and Circus magazines. Tony has seen some of his students go on and make albums, tour the world, go on TV and even become teachers themselves. Tony is a 2 time winner of best music school (Burnett Music) in both Temecula and Murrieta. Tony is also a live and studio musician with thousands of gigs ranging from small coffee shops to arenas in front of 18,000+ people. Tony is currently the guitarist for Motley 2, a USA touring Motley Crue tribute band and a session musician out of his home studio. Born and raised in Southern California, Tony began playing guitar at the age of 8 after hearing Black Sabbath for the first time. Then shortly after that an elementary school friend gave Tony a tape of Van Halen 1, and everything changed. Says Tony, "Black Sabbath started me playing guitar, But Van Halen made me want to make it a career!" Realizing there was no guitar in school band, Tony chose the next best thing-drums. Throughout junior high and high school, Tony played drums in school bands doing field shows, parades, jazz festivals and orchestra concerts all while playing guitar in several rock bands doing the Orange County and Hollywood circuits at night. After touring the world Tony took classes at MI in Hollywood and music theory classes at UCR Riverside. Tony began his teaching career in 1994 teaching guitar, drums, bass, music theory, recording, songwriting and rock school. Tony opened his own music school Burnett Music in 2008 which won the best music school award in both 2013 and 2014 and served as the CEO and lead teacher. Tony opened his own recording studio in 1997 recording several bands and solo artists across all styles of music. After retiring from teaching in 2024, Tony now focuses on his studio work and live gigging.
